Sandra Kay Shutter was born on August 7, 1950, in Garland, Texas to James Clark Cobern (Buddy) and Lois Evelyn Cobern. Kay was 71 years young when she was received by our Lord on January 15, 2022, at 12:15 A.M. She is now dancing in Heaven with Jesus, pain free, and celebrating her reunion with her beloved dad, Buddy Cobern. Kay was raised in Garland and graduated from Garland High School in 1968. She was married in 1968 and began expanding her family a short time later. She had 3 rowdy, rambunctious, amazing boys who were the loves of her life. She was very involved in all their activities, such as room mom, den mother, team mom and so much more. Kay had a love of family, friends, crafts and Jesus. She never met a stranger and loved everyone she met unconditionally and with her whole heart. Her smile filled a room, and her silly side was an absolute joy. She was loved by many and will be missed by even more. Left to cherish her memory are her mother Evelyn Cobern, brothers Jimmy and wife Connie Cobern, Ken and wife Tanna Cobern, her special friend and companion Stanley Tull, her children Randy and wife Jennifer Shutter, Kevin and wife Robin Shutter, Brandon and wife Shannon Shutter, her grandchildren Shay Shutter and fiancé Alfonso Villa, Taylor Shutter and fiancé Cody Alvarado, Daulton Shutter, Rachel Shutter, Benjamin Shutter, Brennan Shutter, Brad Shutter, Melissa and husband Kage Hiberd, Katie and fiancé Josh Scroggins, and her great-grandchildren Brielle, Aeriel and Luca Villa, Bella and Zayne Alvarado, Amelia Hiberd , as well as aunts, uncles nephews & nieces.
