Sandra Jeanne Cook Bannister
Fort Worth, TX-Sandra Jeanne Cook Bannister, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a courageous battle with Cancer, on December 6, 2016. Sandi was born June 17, 1951 in Shamrock, TX to Jack and Syble Cook. She was one of six sisters and three brothers. Sandi graduated from McLean High School in 1969 and Keith’s Barber School in Amarillo, TX in 1973. She continued her education in journalism at Amarillo College. After a successful career, she retired from hair design due to medical issues and pursued a career in advertising at Ads Plus Advertising Agency in Dallas. She loved reading, making jewelry, gardening, face booking with friends and family, and playing games on her computer. She looked forward to family gatherings at the Lake House and playing poker with family, as well as yearly vacations with her sisters. Preceded in death by her father, Jack Cook, brothers J.C. and Tommy Cook. Sandra is survived by her mother, Syble Cook of Clarendon, TX; her children, Carrie Bustamante of Fort Worth, Cathy and husband, Chris Vessels of Fort Worth, TX, and Bill and wife Jessica Bannister of Spokane, WA; her grandchildren, Joey and wife, Whitney Fouch, Emily Cazel, Caylea Vessels, Jessie Bannister, Crysta Vessels, William Bannister, Angie and Reyna Bustamante; 5 great-grandchildren; her siblings Linda Smallwood of Amarillo, Shirley and husband, Raymond Baker of Panhandle, Jack Cook of Nashville, TN, Betty Sanderson of Chandler, AZ, Molly and husband, Craig Brucker of Clarendon, TX and Marilyn and husband, Larry of Clarendon, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held on December 16th at 4:00 P.M. Harvest Christian Center 880 N. Main Street Keller, TX 76248

  1. Dear Aunt Sandy.
    Not really my aunt, but all I ever heard her referred to. I will miss seeing her like and share my posts. She always brought a smile to my face. Rest in sweet peace dear one, your battle is over.
