  1. We are so sorry to hear about Ruby’s death and would like to offer our condolences to both Terri and Mary. we all loved and respected Ruby for her faithfulness and hard work in making baby blankets, baby clothes and anything else for missions. She was a true prayer warrior for missionaries and her church family. She lived a long life and will be sorely missed but I’m sure God will tell her, “Well done faithful servant”.

  2. I do miss Ruby as she and I worked for the State of Illinois for almost 39 years. Then we served together for several years on the Prime Timers (senior citizens) committee at the First Baptist Church of Elgin, IL.

Ruby enjoyed being well dressed and was a very good college student, studying, among other things, automobile maintenance, and TV repair to round out her required hours!!

Ruby was a wonderful fellow traveler. God bless you Ruby!!! ddm

  3. Ruby was a lovely lady. I worked along side her as she was president of American Baptist Women for
a few years and I had occasion to give her a ride here and there. She also came to our knitting group
during the one year we had meetings. She would always make tea for the group.. It was hard for her
    at that time.

We will miss her at First Baptist Church and pray that God will comfort the family during this time
    of sorrow.

  4. Ruby has been missed by her friends at First Baptist Church in Elgin Illinois, since the move to Texas, and many have expressed their sorrow and sympathy to the family in her passing. As stated in her obituary, she was a strong participant and organizer in her Sunday School group, the Women’s Ministries, and Primetimers. Every Christmas she supplied the ladies in the office staff with a towel and dish cloth set that she crocheted. A strong, kind lady, greatly missed.

  5. We will miss Ruby Glenn at our ABW meetings. She kept track of all of the missionaries and told about them at our monthly meetings.

When I worked at the Church office, she would give the ladies in the office red towels that she had worked on. She was very talented.

She certainly will be missed. At our ABW meeting in February, we prayed for her.

My sympathy to her two daughters and grandchildren.

  6. Terri, Mary and family,
Greetings! We were so saddened to hear of Ruby’s passing. She has been missed by all her church family here in Elgin; but we were glad that she was able to be closer to you for a while before her passing. I will always remember Ruby as a woman of great faith in the Lord with a heart to serve others–which she did in so many ways throughout the years. The First B family is praying for you; and we thankful for Ruby, who has heard the words from Jesus Himself, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Blessings and peace to you.
