  1. Roy was very special to us, and we will miss him so much. He was a very special

person who loved family, and he demonstrated that love in many kind and unselfish ways.

To Robbye, Stacey, Jason, Bettie, Troy, Paul, Pam, Derrel:

We love you all and want you to know we are thinking of you.

  2. I know we are speaking for Frances, Rosemarie and Bobby too–we are so glad and proud to be “found” family 6 years ago and to have known Roy and you, his family.

  3. To Robbye and family…..we were greatly saddened by Roy’s passing as we enjoyed having coffee with him at the Pin Center and occasional lunches with him and other friends.

  4. Roy came to Houston a little over 3 years ago to buy some equipment for his buisness. While he was down here he looked me up and invited me to lunch. He told me about our great family and the wonderfiul re-unions ya’ll had every year. I have been to the last 3 re-unions. Roy was right, this is a great family. And because of His thoughtfulness and love I am now apart of the family that I have missed for so long. Roy, I will miss you and your friendship. Thank You for caring enough to call.

    With Love, your cousin Mark

  5. I am a friend of Bettie Lou DeLaune, mother of Roy…although I didn’t know Roy, I know his mother and other family members.

I am very sorry to hear about Roy.

Roy was a special person to me and there will be a void in my life.I know he would want me to go on and help finish what he had started,so on I go.I don`t believe I had ever met a more honest person and one that would help so many in need.I must add also that family played a major roll in his life.Reba and myself send out much love to Robbye,Stacey and Jason with a hand to help in way needed.

  7. Roy will be missed dearly by all of us in Paducah. It was a great pleasure always seeing him at the reunions. You will be missed.

  8. I have some very fond memories of Roy when we were kids growing up. Roy was allways very gentle & soft spoken. We had some great times together along with his brothers & sister (Sissy), especially, at grandma DeLaune’s house! I have always admired Roy for being so sucessful. & Really being a self made man. I’m sure he probably raised his voice at sometime in his life, but I can’t even imagine it! The one thing that I liked about Roy & remember the most about him, is his smile & how he smiled alot! He was also a great listener! He may be gone, but he will not be forgotten by his family & friends. Robbye & Kids, We love you & mourn with you in great loss.

  9. Jeremiah 31:13

    I will turn their mourning into gladness;

I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

I am so glad that I had the honor of meeting Roy. I wish that I had be able to get to know him much earlier in my life.

I know that God is a gracious God and He will honor those and comfort those who love Him. My prayers are with you.

    Love always,

    DeAuna

  10. Roy was one of those people that you liked the instant you met him and stuck me as someone who always made the best of life. The last time I saw Roy he was riding off on his motorcyle with a big smile and his brother Troy next to him.
