Rose Marie Forrester
Rose Marie Forrester 1935-2018 Fort Worth — Rose Marie Forrester, 83, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Rose was born July 13, 1935 to Josie Parich Monteleone and Sam Monteleone in New Or- leans, Louisiana. Rose married, and raised her daughters in Fort Worth, Texas. While her daughters, Gayle and Diane, were in high school, Rose went to TCU and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught Special Ed/Resource at AV Cato in Castleberry ISD for over 20 years, until she retired. She was a caring teacher, well loved by her students. In 1995, Rose was chosen Teacher of the Year by her fellow teachers and recognized for her 15 years of service. Rose loved her family and gave the gift of love, as a living donor, giving one of her kidneys to her brother, Tony. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who put her faith and trust in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She has been a part of Grace Bible Church for many years. She will be deeply missed. Rose was preceded in death by two of her daughters: Jeri Lynn, in 1964, and Valli, in 1963; and by her brother Anthony Monteleone. Rose is survived by her children, Galye Burton and husband, Bobby; Diane Huckabee and husband, Danny; by her grandchildren, Lane Doughtie, and wife, Brooke; Kelsey Doughtie; Kyle Huckabee and wife, Katy; Kevin Huckabee; and Ashlie Rangel and husband, Gabe; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Monteleone and wife, Phylis; and Tommy Folks and wife, JoAnn; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, and many in-laws who loved her as their own.
