FORT WORTH — Robert Dale Bradford, 54, lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Robert Dale Bradford, 54, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. “Bob” was born on April 8, 1959. He was born in San Pedro, California but moved to Fort Worth, Texas to be with his siblings. Robert is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Bradford, his brother Danny Bradford, his niece Mandy Stokes, his cousin Jessie Ruiz and his dear friend Berta. He is survived by his sister Cindy Stokes, his brothers Timothy Bradford, Kenneth Bradford, Michael Bradford, Rick Palmer and Mike Palmer, his mother Marcella Bradford, his nieces Heather McMinn and Allison Stokes, his God-Mother Emily Ruiz, and his cousins Christy Cervantes, Richard Cervantes, Kathy Ruiz, Paula Ruiz, Tony Ruiz, and Rita Cervantes. “When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little – but not too long, and not with your head held low Remember the love that we once shared. Miss me – but let me go For this is a journey that we all must take, and each must go alone It’s all a part of the Master’s plan, a step on the road to home.” In his famous words…PARTY ON!!!

What is there to say or do when you lose a loved one?Im reminded of a quote by Mitch Albom “Death ends a life, not a relationship.” Which says to me that death cannot stop a loving relationship between the departed and loved ones who are left behind wondering how to accept the fact that they’re gone. Uncle Bobby, I wanted to let you know that the day before I left for Fort Drum, that same day you got onto me about not having my uniforms washed and prepped, after visiting with you and leaving the first think Me and Kirstien did was washed and prepped my uniforms. Not because of the thought of getting dropped for it, but because I knew it meant something to you. The same reason I wore my acu’s to the services. The look in your eyes when you would tell me about your experiences as an 11B in the army. Made me proud to be doing the same thing. I love you Uncle Party On.
