Robert C. Counts
Cleburne:Funeral services for Robert C. “Bob” Counts, 81, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel, of Cleburne, with Brother Rick Hope officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Land of Fort Worth. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Sunday, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home, of Cleburne. Robert C. “Bob” Counts, owner of Counts Feed and Seed Inc., in Cleburne, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2004, at Kindred Hospital Southwest of Fort Worth. He was born May 5, 1923, in Bridgeport, Texas, the son of William and Alpha (Reddell) Counts. He married Marie Graham, February 22, 1946 in Fort Worth. She preceded him in death in 1994. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Pat Jabara. He served in the Army Air Force during WW II, was a member of the 447th Bomber Group and a member of the Eighth Air Force Historical Society. He was employed by Philco Ford Corporation, retiring in the late 1970’s. He was also a member of Circle T Scouting, an Honorary Boy Scout, an honorary member of the 4-H Club and a charter member of the Liberty Chapel Fire Department. He is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Plotner and husband, Jim, of Cleburne; sons, Robert C. Counts, Jr. and wife, Debbie, of Fort Worth and Chris Counts and wife, Michelle, of Aledo; brother, Bill Counts and wife, Ann; sister, Ida Marshall; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The family wishes to add a special thanks to the Kindred Hospital Staff for the super care given to their loved one.

  1. Bob was a dear man that we all loved! Our prayers are with the family. We have many wonderful memories of our families growing up in Lubbock at Modern Manor Apts. My Dad and Bob are in heaven sharing many old stories and we know that they are happy.
