Renate P. Petty
Renate P. Petty, 75 , passed away at Hospice on July 10th, 2015. Born in Czech Republic but was forced from her home land into Germany during WWII. Youngest of 6 sisters. She came to America by ship in 1952, when she was 12 years old. Having to learn English and the ways of life in America. Married Frank Petty on August 20th, 1958. Next month Is their 57th Anniversary. She loved to garden, sew, cook and travel, which she did a lot of the 20 years her husband served in Air Force. Raised two children while husband served in Vietnam. In 2009 she was diagnosed with stage 3 multiple myeloma. She fought 6 years with rounds of chemo never letting it get her down. She would still mow the yard also cook for the family after coming home from chemo and surprisingly never lost any of her hair. She even earned the name “miracle woman” to her oncologist outliving her life expectancy. She touched so many lives and those that knew her love and miss her very dearly. Memorial: Tuesday July 21, 2015 6-8pm Survivors: Include her husband, Frank Petty; Children: Diana & Edward Petty; Grandchildren: Shane & Shannon Lyon. Great grandchildren: Kamryn & Wendy Lyon.
