Randall Craig Slaughter
Randall Craig Slaughter March 07, 1983 – March 31, 2021 On March 31, 2021, Randall passed away unexpectedly, at the age of 38. Randall was born in Austin, Tx, and resided in Wichita Falls, Tx. He joined the US Armed Forces right after high school, and he served in the Army from March 2001-March 2006. Randall was stationed in Fort Lewis, WA and was deployed to Iraq; 1st Brigade 24th Infantry Regiment/25th Infantry Division, Operation Iraqi Freedom. Randall was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. On May 02, 2015, Randall and Diane were married, and they became a beautifully blended family with three children and three grandchildren. Randall was a Christian man who served God, and he felt blessed for everything in his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and his love and support for others will always be remembered. Randall’s passions in life included writing, playing the guitar, gaming, and studying Scripture. He was known for his quick wit, his love towards family, friends and his fur baby, Cookie, and also for his faith in Christ. Randall was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Slaughter. He is survived by his wife, Diane Slaughter, his children, Colleen, Jennifer and Collette, his grandchildren, Kiera, ReShawn and Kairi, his mother, Raymona (Donald) Fox, his sisters, Laura, Leslie and Lisa, his brothers, Donald Jr and Harvey Jr, and his Brothers in Arms, loving friends, and many extended family members. Randall will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. A separate private Ceremony will be held, by invitation only, since there will not be a grave site Service. Military Brothers need to contact Diane if they wish to be put on the list to attend the private Ceremony. A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service for Randall will be held at The Wildflower Country Inn, 900 FM 32 San Marcos, Tx 78666, on June 4, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. A Candlelight Vigil will commence about 8:15pm, which will conclude the Memorial Service. Military Brothers/Sisters, Friends and Associates are all welcome to attend the Celebration Of Life Memorial Service.

  1. I’m truly sorry for your loss. Randy was one of the few good ones. He always had a quick comeback when Robert (Bobby) and I would poke good natured fun at him. He even managed to chase Robert around a few times, never seen Robert run so fast. Hahaha! He will truly be missed.

      A part of me is missing, and my heart is broken into a million pieces without Randy here beside me. I feel blessed for every day that he & I shared together & I can’t wait to see him again in Heaven.
      The love, support & prayers from others has helped me tremendously during this difficult time.
