Ralph Herman Rubenkoenig
CROWLEY — Ralph Herman Rubenkoenig surrendered his earthly body and entered God’s kingdom Friday, Sept. 7, 2012. His strength and determination could not overcome Alzheimer’s disease. Service: 2 p.m. Monday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Alzheimer’s Association of your choice. Ralph was born at home in Young County on Aug. 16, 1928, to John Herman and Mary Arcadia Rubenkoenig. He served in the National Guard and attended Texas Agricultural College (now UTA). On Aug. 11, 1949, he married the love of his life, Mary Nell Hester. Together, they raised four sons and one daughter. His strong faith in God and love for his family is an inspiration to all who knew him. His humor, courage, intellect and generosity are an endless gift to his family and friends. Thank you, Dad…”you are a great, good man.” The family expresses its gratitude to Community Hospice; Ginger, Janice, Pam, Sharon and Vanessa are truly angels of mercy. Their loving care of our dad, grandfather and great-grandfather is an incredible gift. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Maud Lippincott. Survivors: Beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Nell; sons, David (Melinda), John (Dianne), Mike and Mark (Donna); daughter, Kathleen; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
