Phillip Warren Walker passed away Sunday July 23, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Service: 2:00 pm Thursday July 27, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment: 9:15 am Friday July 28, 2017 at DFW National Cemetery. Phillip was born to James Phillip Walker and Martha Fortenberry Walker in Bryce, Arizona. He served in the US Navy for 23 years serving in three wars, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. After retiring from the service, Phillip went on to work for Phelps Dodge Copper Mine in Morenci, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, LaVeda Mims, Verneal Costa, Coreene O’Dell, Margaret McCormick, and Emma Jean Gatlin. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla; daughter, Coreene West; grandsons, Joseph (Angelica) and Paul West; great granddaughter, Avery Walker; brother, Talmadge Larson; step-sister, Della Beals; niece, Paulette (Gordon) Wheat and their children; nephews, Daniel Gatlin and family, Rick Brown and family; great niece, Terra Betarcourt and family; great nephew, Christopher O’Dell and family.
