Patti Liner James
Fort Worth, TX – Patti Liner James, 72, died on Sunday, September 25, 2016. A memorial service will be held 3pm, Friday, October 7, 2016 at Tarrytown United Methodist Church. The church address is 2601 Exposition Blvd., Austin, TX 78703. She was born November 19, 1943 in Lubbock, TX to T. Euel and Maxene Liner. She graduated from Monterey High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University where she was a member of the Phi Eta Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Patti taught in the Lubbock and Austin school districts for nearly 30 years. Patti’s had an infectious smile and meticulous fashion, highlighted by her signature high heels and ankle bracelets, which impacted students and teachers for a lifetime. Survivors include her son Toby James of Houston, daughter and son in law Jeni and Jeff Patton of Fort Worth, grandsons Max and Mason Patton, her sister and brother in law, Kay and Roy Poage of Coleman, TX. The family would like to extend its gratitude to the staff of Mustang Creek Estates and Holy Savior Hospice for their loving and professional care. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Tarrytown United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

  1. Patti was one of the kindest, friendliest, and positive members of our class of 1962. She always had a smile and kind greeting for everyone.

    I will always remember her with fondness. A great loss for everyone. It was a privilege knowing her. I was so lucky to talk with her at our 50th reunion, It was so great that her daughter helped her attend so we could all visit with a person very important to all us.

    My most sincere condolences to her family.
