Hurst-Patricia Zost passed away Friday, December 31, 2021. Patty was born January 11, 1964 in Fort Worth, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Zost; her parents, W.T. and Mary Welch; and her brother Bill Welch. She is survived by three sisters, Charlotte, Marsha and Carla; and two brothers, James and Nick. She never had any children but she loved her seven nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews; and 3 great-great nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Patty grew up and went to school in the H.E.B. area. She was funny, outgoing and full of life, always on the go and eager to be involved with others. She never met a stranger. Patty’s circle of friends was large and close-knit. She opened her heart and home to them and anyone in need. She was loved by so many who will continue to carry her in their hearts. Arrangements for a celebration of life will be made at a future date.

We dearly loved Patty we never knew when she was going to drop by through the years but we were always so happy to see her…this past year once was with some meat so Craig would smoke it for her and then once for prayer and another to show us some big huge ancient book which my hubby Craig told her to get it out of her presence and she agreed. Then her last stay in the hospital she called me up to ask for a ride home. I did not know she would be gone from us within days. I asked her if she needed me to come in with her or get some groceries she said no she would be fine she leaned over to hug me and I got to kiss her on the cheek. I knew she was not well and I regret not making a plan to visit her she was just so independent and I was trying not to mother her! xoxo Thank you God for her life!
