Opal Vera Phillips
   MANSFIELD — Opal Vera Phillips, 95, is home at last with her Lord and her family who went before her. Ms. Phillips passed on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016.        Graveside service: Private. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home.        To her family, she was “Nanny”; she could do anything, and was the proverbial “Pied Piper.” Nanny lived 20 years with her parents, 20 years with husband, George, 20 years by herself, 20 years with husband, Johnny, and almost 20 years with Judy and Denny, to whom all her family is most grateful.        She was preceded in death by her spouses, George Armstrong and John Phillips; and son, Jimmy Armstrong.        Family celebrating her life: daughter, Peggy Buttner and spouse, Ed; daughter, Judy Black and spouse, Denny; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

  1. Mom,you look lovely and I am sure your heavenly self is even lovelier that your earthly self! I will miss your humor, your advice and your love. But I know you are home at last with all the others who love you, too, but had to go sooner than you. I knoww each of us will see you again, someday,and I know it will be glorious!
