  2. I had the privilege of calling this wonderful lady my aunt. She was fun to be around and had such a beautiful smile. She was uplifting and inspiring. I will miss her.

  3. I remember the first time that Brad and I came to Myrna’s house with Janie and Burl. We were having a family reunion with Myrna, her brothers and their families hosted at Myrna and Gene’s home. Her whole family made all of us feel so welcomed and loved…accepted from the first time we met as part of the family. It is my hope that I can give that same feeling to others I meet throughout my life.: to feel loved and accepted. I love you, Aunt Myrna. Say, “Hello to Brad and Burl for me.”

  10. I’m really going to miss my Aunt Myrna. She has always been so loving and what a terrific sense of humor! Her siblings (brothers) tended to have a dry, calm sense of humor. Myrna on the other hand could get silly and make us laugh. It was almost like she was from a different family, and I mean that in the best way possible! There were many times she was so welcoming and generous to me. In particular, when I lived in Denton and then Dallas for grad school, I would often go visit Myrna and Gene, enjoying home-cooked meals and just a wonderful time together. Aunt Myrna and my mom, Janie, neither had sisters and considered each other their sister. Mom tells me so many funny stories of the times she had with her “sister.” Myrna was also a very kind and decent person who cared about others and was always so open minded. I felt like I could tell her anything. She was not judgmental and had a marvelous way of putting people at ease. This is a big loss in our lives, but I’m so fortunate to have such wonderful memories of such a phenomenal lady!

    1. Richard, dear cousin. Thank you for sharing these loving thoughts and memories of our mother. She loved you dearly.
