Melanie Suzanne Rice
Grandview, TX – Melanie Suzanne Rice died peacefully at home, after a courageous battle with cancer, on July 10, 2020. She was born on June 30, 1944 in Fort Worth, TX. Preceded in death by her parents Cecil Wilson and Frances Matthews. She is survived by her husband Michael Rice of Grandview, her sons Matthew Minyard of Fort Worth, Andrew Minyard and wife Rena of Milford, Christopher Gipson and wife Lori of White Settlement, bonus daughter Katherine Osio of Grand Prairie, sisters Fradean French of Fort Worth, Teresa Cates of Pantego, Gloria Wilson of Seymore, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Melanie was a woman of many talents. She earned her Associate Degree in Mental Health. Most of her working life was spent in sales. Her creative and artistic talents blossomed into several business ventures such as Edible Events, Eclectic Rice retail store, and she was widely known for her wonderful cakes and flowers. A celebration of life will be posted through social media when social gathering restrictions are lifted. In lieu of flowers please send donations to American Cancer Society or a charity of your choosing.

  9. Melanie was a talented beautiful lady. I am so sorry to see her leave this earth but I am glad she is pain free and perfect now. Love to all especially her Husband and 3 sons Matt , Drew and Chris.

  12. Sorry to hear of her passing. Condolences to all her family and friends. It was a blessing to have met her. She always welcomed us during the holidays with her wonderful hospitality, and gifted us when nothing was ever expected from her. A beautiful and strong woman, she will be missed. Many prayers.   14. Melanie was one of the most nurturing and caring employees that I have ever known. After she left her position at All Saints , I lost touch with her. About 2 years ago we ran into each other at Costco in Fort Worth. We caught up and became FB friends. I am so sad to learn that she has left us. My condolences to the family. You have an angel watching over you now.

  24. So sorry to learn of Melanie’s passing. I did not know her very long but I learned to appreciate her wonderful talent, and she was one of the sweetest individual I have ever met! She certainly earned her wings and now resides with Jesus. My prayers for large group of family and friends she left behind. 🙏♥️😇
