Max Duane Winnegar
Born: May 20,1938 Entered Eternity: April 29, 2020 Max Winnegar, 81, Beloved husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great, Great as well, passed away peacefully on early Wednesday morning at his home in Alvarado, Texas. Max was preceded in death By his two sons Joey, 15 and Tony, 51 and his first born granddaughter, Courtney Gray Arnold, 32. Max was retired from General Motors of nearly 30 years but never stopped working. He became a school bus driver for Mansfield ISD, also drove for Noble Coaches/Road Runner and later drove for Kennedale ISD. His heart was always to provide for his family. Max loved his family, his horses and his land, which he diligently cared for all. Max was married to his beloved wife, Josephine Ann, whom he lovingly referred to as Josie. Max and JoAnn met in August of ’56; It was love at first sight. They were married in November on the 24th that same year. A long marriage, nearly 64 years, not without struggles but love always conquered in the end. Max was the loving Father to daughters, Lucretia Gray Hicks (Glenn), Gina Perkins Walsh (Bobby), sons Joey and Tony. Max was elder brother to Ronald Winnegar (Mary) and uncle to their four beautiful children and great uncle to their children. Max was cherished Pop to Case Gray (Nicole), Carrye Perkins (Krystle), Cydney Nedrow (Tim), Cody Gray (Marisa) and Cassidy Winnegar. Great Grand Pop to Devin Gray, Alyssa and Peyton Arnold (Courtney), Christian, Justus and Colette (Casey), Alexandria, Ava, Arianna, Alena (Carrye) Cameron, Allissa (Cydney), Josiah Winnegar (Cassidy) and Great, Great Grand Pop to Atlas Gray (Devin). Max left behind many dear friends, neighbors and relatives. We Love You, Honey, Daddy, Pop! You will always fondly remembered! Rest in Peace, Dearest One, until we meet again. Due to Covid-19, no services were held. Possible gathering later.
