Mary Sue Austin
Mary Sue Austin of Kennedale passed quietly in her sleep Sunday Evening, Nov. 13, 2016 at Holland Lake Nursing Center in Weatherford, where she received such tender and loving care. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 57 years, William P. “Bob” Austin, eldest son James E. “Jim” Austin as well as her parents and siblings. She is survived by her sister in law Joy Salcido of Arizona, son William Kent Austin of Kennedale, grand sons Cliff Austin and Kat of Crowley, William Cody Austin of Kennedale, Aaron Austin and Denise of Weatherford. Grand daughters, Amy Ragle and Rudy of Weatherford, Emily Tucker and Wes of Burleson. And several great and great great grandchildren. Plus numerous adoring nieces and nephews. Interment will be with her husband at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Private ceremonies will be announced later.

  1. Kent, so sorry about your mother’s passing. I always think of her as a pioneer woman who could kill a snake by the well if she had to. I wish I could have lived closer to hear some of her stories about her life and our grand parents. Let me know when the burial is scheduled, would like to see you and talk about our patents.

  2. She is the last of her generation, it seems. I’m sure she’s delighted to be reunited with her family in heaven, but her family here on earth remembers her with love, and misses her.
    We were in the midst of planning a trip to that area, to visit her, when we received the sad news. We’re so glad she went peacefully.
