Mary Lee loved to take a word and make a poem out of it. Mary Lee was reared on a farm. She hoed and picked cotton just like her siblings. 1. Mary Lee was a good friend of mine since 2015 I was one of her volunteers when she was activeties director at a nursing and rehab center. She did a great job and cared for the people she worked with. Holliday’s were always a big deal for her, you could tell by the way she would decorate the place. She kept us busy and had a way of getting work out of us volunteers. Retirement wasn’t easy for her because she needed to be around people. I always tried to visit her on Fridays if I could. We would go to Good Will, Dollar Tree and then I would take her to Long John Silvers for her favorite, a fish taco.
She has a special place in my heart and I’m thankful for having know her.

  2. Mary Lee has given many memories of her beautiful singing and poems. She was an active lady who participated in many activities. She had the gift of lighting up the room then leaving everyone feeling better with her funny stories. She was glamorous in her own way. I am grateful I got to know her. She will be missed and was loved by many. Rest in peace Mary Lee.
