  3. Mark was one of the best people I have ever worked with. Over the past 9 years that I have known him he was tough but fair, honest and trustworthy and very smart. Our work family grieves this terrible loss and I pray that his family will find some comfort. I am so sorry for your loss.

  7. Mark Sargent

The strongest man I have ever known, he was more than just a wonderful friend; he was always so kind and considerate to me and I always looked forward to seeing him each day.

I truly loved Mark, he earned respect through supporting others and sacrificing personally to ensure success of this team.

  8. – You will be deeply missed. Our prayers to your family from ours, may the Lord comfort them in this time of loss and sorrow.

    – Thank you Mark Sargent for being the best person, leader and mentor one could ever hope to know.

  9. There is wisdom in the uncertainty… may GOD heal your soul and help you see beyond this tragedy?

    In Peace, Love and Hope!

  10. Mark you will be so deeply missed. My prayers go out to your family and I will continue to keep them in my daily prayers.

  11. The most sincere and respected individual that I have had the pleasure to get to know recently. Though our relationship was initially business related by the time it was all said and done I considered him a friend and acquaintance. I will miss seeing him and our quick exchanges in the office building. He always had a smile ready. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Heaven is gettin a good one!

  12. Mark was a warm and generous person who really loved his family.

  13. Firstly my sincere condolances. Secondly I have known Mark for the last 6 years. Althought I live and work in the UK I always knew that Mark was there should I need to go that one step further up the ladder if there were questions that could not be answered.

I had the oppurtunity to meet Mark back in 2004 when I visited Dallas. I still remember it to this very day.

I was very sad to hear of the news.

    Best Wishes.

  14. Dear Jill, Mallory & Andrew,

I joined Data Return in 2004 and worked with Mark mostly over the phone, but met with him on occasion in the Dallas office when he’d join me for client meetings. His abundant kindness came through in the character of his voice and his welcoming smile. It was always a pleasure to problem solve with Mark. He approached every issue with a joyful eagerness and I looked forward to the experience.

When he spoke of his personal life, he was clearly a devoted family man that took great care to balance work and home life as best he could. You all meant the world to him and my heart, support and prayers go out to you. Mark and his positive impact on everything he did will be remembered and greatly missed for a very, very long time.

    Kind regards,

    Ellie

  15. Mark was an impressive person: strong and forth right yet humble and considerate of others.

He certainly left a mark deserving of respect and honor, wishing and praying for his soul to find peace and his family to be blessed with the strength to bear this heavy loss.

This was my experience of him in just less than two years of knowing so I can imagine what an impact he must have had on the lives that he touched over a longer period.

    He surely will be missed!

  16. Dear Andrew and family.

We are very sorry for your loss.

We know that words will not easy your pain, but:

  17. I worked with Mark for close on two years. I wish it had been longer.

When I arrived in the company, he was one of the first to reach out and make me feel as if I belonged.

I came to know that he had three passions in his life; His family (To whom he was devoted); His team (To whom he nurtured and defended with sage advise and a commitment that was second to none); and the customers he served with patience and experiance.

He was a man who “Led from the front” with a fierce determination and an underlying understanding that he was dealing with human beings and not machines.

May you rest in peace my friend, as you left me and many others with nothing but warm feelings for a life well led.

Sarge, you were a friend and shall forever remain in my thoughts,

    Graham

  19. There is nothing that we can express to you that will comfort you and your family. We are so thankful for the opportunity while it was here to get to know a man that had a heart of gold. His attitude and perspective on work and the world could only have been sustained by the love of his family. When a problem presented itself, Mark was always there to answer it with a cheerful heart. We could never have desired to work with a better man than Mark. Thank you for allowing us to share your husband and father as a friend and trusted coworker.

  20. In all my years in working in this industry I never enjoyed working for anyone as much as I enjoyed working under Mark Sargent and the team he built. Sarge led through example and always treated his people with respect. There were many times I came to him with a problem needing some guidance? He always took the time to listen and help me solve whatever problem I presented to him. The best thing about Sarge was that I always knew he had my back, which inspired me to work that much harder so that I could have his! A mark of a true leader.

  21. Mark will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Mark was always a pleasure to work with and very caring and understanding.

My thoughts and prayers go to his family and may God bless them through this difficult time and always.

  22. As only a friend of Mark’s through the Texas Bowhunter web site, it is with saddened words that I share; Mark had a TBH family that he probably was not aware he had until now. He will be missed by those of us whom never had the privilege to meet him. My prayers will be with each of you in your time of sorrow.

  23. Mark is greatly missed. I was acquainted with Mark since the early Data Return days. He was sincere, humble and honest as a coworker. You knew exactly what he believed.

As a supervisor and director, he was fair and forthright with everyone. Mark was definitive in action. Mark demonstrated great leadership and vision for where Customer Support was going. He always strived to do the right thing.

I believe that somewhere, Mark is watching and when we join him, he’ll be asking us why we did this or didn’t do that. That’s because he cared not only professionally about those here at work. He also had a sincere concern about the personal welfare of all those whom he supervised.

  24. There are people in our lives who lead, inspire and move us in ways we don’t even realize until they are gone. Mark is one of those special people. As his co-worker for the last 9 years, I had the priviledge of working with Mark on some challenging projects and initiatives. I could always count on Sarge, no matter what.

I pray for God’s peace and comfort to all that have a special place in their hearts for Mark. We’ll miss you Sarge!

  25. To the Sargent Family,

My prayers are with you in this time of grieving, may God Bless you and bring you wonderful memories of Mark.

    Sincerely,

    Kathy

  30. I’m sorry this is so late. I only recently found out about Mark. I was a friend of his in college. I joined the military at the same time he moved away and we lost touch. He was a great friend and we grew through our college years together. He was alway a caring and compassionate person. He will always be in my prayers.
