Maria Elva Juarez Alcozer
Maria Elva Jaurez Alcozer, gained her beautiful wings on December 19,2021, and went home to see her father Maximeno and mother Callentana (Garcia) Juarez. Elva was born October 18, 1947, in Robstown, Texas. Maria lived a life full of surprises and there was never a dull moment when she was around. She had a contagious laughter that came along with many jokes and smart remarks. She was a diligent worker in many jobs from various fields which included working in the kitchen, nursing homes and lastly, custodial. If you needed any information about anything she would know the right solution or figure out the root of any problem. In her free time, she would often do crossword puzzles as well as watch her favorite shows on Animal Planet, Two and Half Men, and crime shows. If she was tired of being around the house, she would travel with her husband, Anastacio (Shorty), to her favorite place, The Casino. Anastacio and Maria Alcozer spent 40+ years together making memories worth a lifetime from Hollis, Oklahoma to Plainview, Texas, before finally settling in Arlington, Texas. The love and care they had for each other was endless, no matter what life threw at them. Maria was the most courageous woman you would ever meet. This is what ultimately drew them together and became the pair we all know and adored. Maria loved to be around family, but mostly the grandkids telling them stories of her life while giving advice. She always knew deep down what advice to give to each one of us, no matter the problem we are facing. We all loved and cherished the wisdom she presented. Elva is preceded in death by her parents ,Maximeno and Callentana (Garcia) Juarez; her brothers, Armando Juarez, Orlando Juarez, and Max Juarez; along with her sisters, Ida Juarez and Santos Benavente. Her remaining family members include her husband Anastacio Alcozer, daughter Julie Alcozer and husband Matthew Kirk; her sons: Henry Alcozer (with his wife Marissa Alcozer), Martin Alcozer and Toby Alcozer; her sisters Elsa Flores, Nora Garza, Elma Cantu, and Zelda Mora; her brothers Ricardo Juarez, and Danny Juarez; 11 Grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
