Lynn Bennett Willbanks passed away at home surrounded by family on October 28, 2020. She was born December 14, 1943 in Houston, Texas. A private viewing was held for close family. Lynn was preceded in death by her father D.V. Bennett and mother Elva Bennett. She is survived by her children Tyrone Scott Willbanks and Shannon Lynn Willbanks, grandchildren, Christopher Willbanks, Sean Willbanks and Aubree Willbanks, brothers Scott (Sue) Bennett and Tommy (Pearlene) Bennett. She also leaves behind many additional family members and close friends she loved dearly. Lynn spent most of her life in Corpus Christi, Texas. Her love of service to others is apparent with her volunteer award at Spohn Hospital in 1959 at the age of 16. She went on to obtain her Licensed Vocational Nurse from the State of Texas, July 1963. She had a long nursing career until her retirement in 2005, with the majority being correctional nursing. She was an avid reader to the end and had a love for animals and the ocean. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
