  1. Known and worked with Leigh for many years, attended training with him during our yearly training at Fort Worth. Leigh will be missed by his friends and loving family. Prayers to all of those who knew Leigh.

  3. There will come a day when the tears of sorrow will softly flow into tears of remembrance…and your heart will begin healing itself…and grieving will be interrupted by episodes of joy…and you will hear the whisper of hope. There will come a day when you will welcome the tears of remembrance…as a sun shower of the soul…a turning of the tide…a promise of peace. There will come a day when you will…risk loving…go on believing…and treasure the tears of remembrance. All those sleeping in their graves will wake up and sing for joy. As the sparkling dew refreshes the earth, so the Lord will revive those who have long been dead.”-Isa. 26:19.

  4. A long time training, golfing, eating, drinking and gambling friend, Leigh always showed me a good time on my many visits to NOL. He will be missed.

  5. This space is too small to express to Leigh’s family how much he will be missed in the railroad police family. I was very honored to work with Leigh and more than that to consider him a close friend. We visited often rather at his office or over lunch. I will truly miss him. I will not be able to attend his service tomorrow. However, several from our office will be attending. Each officer from this office had a personal relationship with Leigh. My prayers will be with all of you tomorrow. Leigh is going to be missed.

  6. Lee will be missed by everyone he had worked with and knew him. Please except my condolences for the loss of you husband / father.

  7. I met Leigh in 1995 after the tragic derailment of the Sunset Limited 9 October 1995 just west of Phoenix, AZ. We hit it off immediately – his sense of humor and family values were stellar! He always had stories of his family, esp his son. I spent a lot of time with him as we attempted to investigate the derailment, and I kept in touch with him as leads winnowed. I count him among my friends – always will. He made me laugh, for years! A tragic loss, but I know I will see him again in Paradise!
