Katherine Stewart
Passed away on January 5 2022 in Mineral Wells Texas. Born April 24, 1942 in Seamore Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Stewart (1942-2004), & both parents, father Amon Giddens (1913-1977), her mother Florence Hampton (1916-2006), her brothers Samuel giddens (1937-2016) and Jimmie Giddens (1953-2021). She is survived by Her sister Bessie Stewart of Mineral Wells Texas and Frances Erwin of Graham Texas. Also by her daughter Elaine Rooney, her sons David Stewart and Ronnie Stewart, her grand children Matthew, Brittiny, Tyler and Logan and her great grandchildren Cassie and Cammeron. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. One of her very favorite things to do was to play Bingo. She would get so excited when she played. Her favorite holiday was Christmas time and she couldn’t wait until it was her turn to open her gifts. She loved nature. She would sit in the mornings while drinking her coffee and loved watching the hummingbirds eat at the feeders she would put up for them. She was always raising a sick or abandomed animal from wild chipmunks to baby calves. She loved fishing and tending to all her animals. She was an excellent cook and canned a lot when she was raising her 3 children. She was an avid reader. She always had a romance or mystery book with her and would not go to electronic books because she loved the feeling of having the books in her hands. She loved to sing and dance, although she’d be the first to admit that she did better at dancing than singing. Her family teased her about it all the time. She will be missed but always lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Besides living in her family’s hearts, she has a new place called “The Rosewood Cottage” that is decorated with tree branches and a bird carved on top.
