Juan Perez
BORN Saturday, June 24th, 1933 Guayanilla, Puerto Rico Went To Be With the Lord Thursday, March 16th, 2017 Fort Worth, Texas “For God so loved the world,[a] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 Born into this world, June 24th, 1933 on Día de San Juan Bautista, in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico named JUANITO PEREZ TORRES. Born to a Police Officer (that explains a whole lot of things) and a homemaker. Raised by his grandparents due to the loss of his left eye to what is known today as Pink Eye. He had humble beginnings. He adored his grandfather and grandmother Papi Pito and Mami Casta. They had a sugar cane farm in Guayanilla. He lost his grandfather at the tender age of 10 yrs. old. He had several siblings. On his father’s side, Maria Amalia (living) and Milagros (living) and on his mother’s side, Rosalia (dec.), Roy (dec.) Nirssa (living) and Lorenzo (living). He left Puerto Rico as a young man of 17 to the great city of New York to become the man we knew today. While in New York he met the mother of his children Maria Ester Torres. They had three children, Juan Ricardo (Rick), Rhaiza Esther (dec.) and Zair Odette. He also became a 33rd degree Mason. They raised their children there until 1970 at which time he received a promotion to moved back to Puerto Rico. While in Puerto Rico he became a member of the Lions Club & was the Vice President of their Eye Bank. Active at his Masonic lodge too. He had the opportunity to move to the great State of Texas in late 1979 & the family was moved by February of 1980. In 1988 he lost his wife of 36 yrs. on Dec. 25th. Then in 1993 he fell in love with Suzanna Grace Contreras who had 4 sons and 4 daughters. He was a loved stepfather to Brian, Rick, Jennifer, Patty, Cruz (dec.) Donna, Gilbert and Barbara. She too passed away, Jan 22nd, 2017. He had 8 grand sons and one granddaughter and a total of 15 great grandchildren and one on the way. He had a total of 30 step grandchildren whom they all called him Grandpa. HE WAS LOVED AND WILL BE MISSED Memorial Service will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday March 23rd 2017 at Living Word Community Church 3001 Bewley St. Haltom City, Tx 76117
