Jonnie Lea Spears Snow
Fort Worth—Jonnie Lea Spears Snow, devoted mother, loving sister, dedicated teacher, and faithful child of God, departed this earthly life December 23, 2010.  She joins her beloved mother, father, and sister in the eternal kingdom of the Heavenly Father. Funeral: Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home, 12301 S. Freeway, Fort Worth. Memorial: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vitas Hospice Care or a charity of choice. Jonnie was preceded in death by her loving parents, J.T. and Emma Mabel Spears, and sister Margaret Spears Lowrey.  Jonnie was born June 21, 1944 in Johnson County.  A graduate of Burleson High School and the University of North Texas, Jonnie went on to become a lead math teacher in the Fort Worth Independent School District. Jonnie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  She was an example of kindness, dignity, and courage as she endured her long illness.  Her belief in the goodness of God never waivered.  The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff of Westside Campus of Care and Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care of our loved one. Jonnie is survived by her daughter Michelle Lynn Pettke; son-in-law Brandon Pettke; grandchildren Luke, Leah, and Grant Pettke; sisters Becky Revels and Yvonne Mooney;  and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

    I am so sorry about Jonnie but we both know she is in a far better place.
    I will not be able to be at the funeral. I have to work. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and Yvonne and your families.

  4. How blessed we as friends have been to have known these wonderful sisters – each one different and each one special. Our thoughts and prayers are with your families as we reflect on the promise that in the next life with God we will all be without pain and suffering. What a wonderful promise and we know that it has been fulfilled in Jonnie.

  6. Becky, I’ll always remember the vibrant,intelligent Jonnie at BHS and when visiting in your childhood home.

    My sweet mother died Dec. 24, 2008, and I know the bitter-sweet feelings you have now–glad Jonniei is in heaven, yet sad you won’t have her here.

    I have been happy the two Christmas seasons Mother has been gone, knowing she got there for Christmas with Jesus. I hope you and your family will feel that peace each Christmas, knowing Jonnie is whole, free and happy in Heaven.
