John “Trey” Franklin Bassham, III
BURLESON – John “Trey” Franklin Bassham, III, 35, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at Pathway Church, 325 NW Renfro Street, Burleson. MEMORIALS: Donations may be made to GoFundMe.Com. Trey was born on May 2, 1980, to John F. Bassham, Jr and Barbara Stepan Bassham. He loved playing soccer, coaching Raiders FC soccer, playing volleyball, playing his trumpet and guitar, watching TCU Football and Baseball, and listening to jazz music. He was a loving and generous man. He was preceded in death by his father. SURVIVIORS:  Wife, Ashleigh Cook Bassham of Burleson; son, Landry John Bassham; stepsons, Kaedyn Cook and Jaycob Blackwood; mother, Barbara Bassham; sister, Jennifer Carter and husband, Brad and their children Abigail Doyle, Conan Doyle, and Braden Carter; grandmother, Elsie Stepan; godparents, Gary and Linda Emery; numerous family members including his soccer family.

    I am so very sorry for the loss of your son. I lost my son on Augst 12, 2015. I do understand how u must feel. I will pray daily that God will comfort, love and help u thru this sad road we have to travel. Again, I am very sorry for your loss. If I can be of an help plz let me know. I am so sorry bout Trey, God must have really needed him in Heaven and that is why he did not heal him, even with so many people praying.   21. Barbara, I am so very sorry to hear of Trey’s passing. I lost my oldest stepson, Patrick, suddenly this past December and it still does not seem real. May God comfort you and your family and give you His peace that passeth all understanding. Keeping you in my prayers.

  23. Barbara, I am so deeply sorry that you have lost your precious son. This is a club none of us ever wanted to join. Like Donna, I lost my son at age 35 in 2010.
