John "J.D." Hendricks, Jr.
John (J.D.) Hendricks Jr., 77, of Burleson, Texas passed away peacefully November 24th, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Service: 11:oo AM Wednesday November 30,2016 at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Visitation: 6-8 PM Tuesday November 29,2016 at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. He was born August 25th, 1939 in Abilene, Texas, to the late John and Mary Hendricks Sr. J.D. met Sarah in 1956 and they were married January 2nd, 1959. J.D. holds two Graduate Degrees: one in Liberal Arts and the other in Education. Over the years J.D. received numerous awards both academically and professionally. He was active in his community earning recognition for his many contributions. Over a period spanning 55 years, J.D. enjoyed various careers in Public Service, Sales, Corporate Management and Education. J.D. was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, boating, hiking and riding motorcycles. He was also passionate about photography taking annual trips to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming and visiting numerous Forts and outposts capturing his favorite subjects: nature and historical sights significant to the American West. J.D. is remembered with love by his wife of 57 years, Sarah Hendricks, son Dana Hendricks and wife Peggy, son Lee Hendricks and wife Chanda, daughter Karen Hendricks. Grandchildren: Christopher (Predeceased), Canaan, Tifani, Whitney, Lisa, London, Jordan, Allysa, Brooke, Bailey and eight great grandchildren. Family, Adventure and Service…this epitomized J.D.’s Life.

  3. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Mr. Hendricks was so much more than my advisor and mentor. He was a true friend. It was an honor to have known such a great person and I will truly miss him.

  5. I’m so sorry for yalls loss. I just found out today. And it breaks my heart. He was there for me when I was going through a hard time with my divorce. He was my instructor during that time. He was a awesome instructor he would tell me everything will be OK and of course he was right. I just know I’m here for yall always. He would tell us students lots of stories about all of yall. He talked a lot about Jordan. I guess I said enough I will be praying for yall.
