Joe Angel Bernal, Jr.
Joe Bernal was born February 19, 1951 in Bryan, Texas and passed away on May 18, 2016. He resided in Rio Vista, Texas since 2012. Memorial service: 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home, Aaron Ogburn officiating. Joe enjoyed making knives; he was a self-taught craftsman, making hand knives and beautiful leather work for his sheaths. It was a hobby he enjoyed along with fishing and gardening. His since of humor was uniquely his own and he was lovingly referred to a “Just Joe”.  He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Joe is preceded in death by his parents Joe A. Bernal Sr. and Carmen Franco Bernal. Survivors: He is survived by his three daughters Kelly Toubekis and husband George of Irving, Shelly Moss and husband Greg of Keller and Sylvia Stone, Irving, Texas, 7 Brothers and Sisters, Ramon Bernal of Houston, Lydia Bernal of Birmingham, Beatriz Helker of Iredell, Sylvia Bernal of Round Rock, Becky Butler of Iredell, Fernando Bernal of Carrollton and Danny Bernal of The Colony and 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The Family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for all of the kind expressions of love and support.
