Joan Ruth Anderberg Lanier
Joan Ruth Anderberg Lanier, 82, loving wife, mother, and grandmother got to see Jesus face to face Wednesday, August 5,2015. Memorial Service: 1 PM Monday, August 10 at Travis Avenue Baptist Church, 800 W. Berry St. Fort Worth, Texas 76110 Joan was born December 19, 1932 in Ravenna, Ohio to Cora Helen Chester Anderberg of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and Angner Waldemar Anderberg of Youngstown, Ohio. After graduating from Penn High in Greenville, PA in 1951 she attended Carnegie Institute of Medical Technology in Cleveland,OH. She lived in many states before settling in Texas. She moved to Fort Worth in 1965 where she worked as Lab & X-Ray technician at Family Physicians Clinic from 1965 until retiring in 1989. On 8/13/1975 her life was dramatically changed when she gave herself wholeheartedly to our Lord Jesus. She never looked back. Her retirement was spent creating all manner of art. Painting in oils, creating many outstanding needlework pieces. Her hands were always busy creating beauty. She dearly loved her family and friends. She will be missed.   She was preceded in death by a baby sister, Hilda Joan Anderberg, 1925. Her parents, Helen Anderberg b. Jan. 10, 1896 d. Aug. 26, 1980. Andy Anderberg b.June 7, 1898 d. Dec. 15, 1981. And step son James Robert Lanier Jr. b. Sep. 14, 1960 d. May 20, 2006   She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, James Robert Lanier. Loving son,Robert John Critchfield. Daughter, Constance Elaine Miller, and her husband Terry.   Grandchildren Joshua J. Miller and wife Colleen. Ashley B. Alexander and husband Jason. Jennifer J. Golightly and husband Jonathan Mack. And Jacob A. Miller
