Losing Jimmy has been like losing a member of my family. He meant so much to me, my family, my household, and all the projects I have been working on. He has done something to repair or improve literally every part of my home and our ranch, and his skills at McFarland House and Thistle Hill were unmatched. Best of all, he was always willing to give 100%, and with a smile. My heart was broken when Terry fell ill, as I knew it was such a hardship on him. I have prayed daily for Jimmy and Terry, and continue for all the family. He has been an important part of our lives for 20 years, and there will never be another than can come close to filling his shoes.
I have been working with Jimmy since February, what a joy! A man of great character who would not settle for second best. An incredible smile. An amazing craftsman with a wealth of knowledge. Our properties were always a priority for him and he spoke fondly of his time with us. His legacy is a great family, I have enjoyed spending time with them and know they will carry on his spirit and integrity. Jimmy will always be a part of my life and we, at Historic Fort Worth, will keep his work alive to be enjoyed for years to come!
I knew Jimmy from the time I first moved to Fort Worth in 1988. I had no idea about his death as I had moved from Ft Worth in 2006 and no one told me. He was more than a contractor, he was a kind friend who helped me with so many projects. He always had a smile and was ready to help when you needed him. I am so saddened to hear of his death. He was truly one of the nicest people I have ever known and I will miss him greatly. Elizabeth Garvey
