Jimmy Edwards Daniel
Fort Worth, Texas- Jimmy Edwards Daniel passed away of congestive heart failure on December 16, 2022. He was born on July 15, 1947 in Austin, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, James Roy Daniel and B.E. Daniel. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Christy Moseley Daniel; his sons, Parker Daniel and Austen Daniel; his sister, Joann Haberle; his four grandchildren; and numerous extended family members. Jimmy was born in Austin, TX but raised in Corpus Christi, TX. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. He went on to graduate from East Texas State University where he met his wife, Christy. He then took a job with Foster & Kliser in outdoor advertising. The couple soon welcomed their son, Parker and decided to settle down in Fort Worth. Jimmy decided to forge his own path and opened KEM, an outdoor advertising company. During that time, their second son, Austen joined the family. Jimmy later sold KEM and started a new company, Edwards Taylor Advertising and was a partner in IPT Motor Sports. He sold Edwards Taylor Advertising and started J. Daniel Custom Homes & Remodeling. He retired and began refinishing furniture and dabbling in graphic arts. Throughout his entire life, Jimmy was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed restoring them. Jimmy’s true passions were his children, grandchildren, and his dogs. He coached both of his boys in baseball growing up, and loved to watch his grandsons’ play baseball. He was very proud of his children following in his footsteps of entrepreneurship. Ever the artist, Jimmy entertained everyone with his graphic art of the “good old days.” He loved to tell his stories and people loved to hear them. Jimmy was a larger-than-life personality who effortlessly made people laugh. His smile and attitude were infectious, and he made friends everywhere he went. He was most fulfilled just spending quality time with family, friends and his dogs. A memorial service will be held at the DFW National Cemetery on January 27, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. The family is so grateful for all of the text messages, calls and messages that they have received. 1. Butch will be in my heart forever! Roy, my husband for 32 years, and “Butch” Jimmy were brothers. Roy dearly treasured Butch his youngest brother and spoke of him daily. James Roy Daniel, Jr. died in 2002. Now they are together and joking again! My prayers are with Christy, Parker and Austen and their families for peace. Since I’m no longer able to travel, I will be with you in heart and spirit. Much Love Always, Mary Daniel Goldston

  4. Jimmy and I were friends for close to 50 years. We did not speak often however when we did, it was deep. retrospective and we always made each other roar with laughter. We shared the ability to write ,tell stories, and draw the reader in. We were close to sharing ideas in his Blog. We loved each others stories. We both believed writing down your experiences, whether read by others, confirms you were here. I spoke with him a day before he passed, and it was a fantastic conversation.

He was a man of great conviction, exceptional business man, Father, and Husband.

The light from your Soul Brightens our Way, we are all richer for to have known you. RIP my Brother
