Jim Angell
Mansfield, TX. Jim Angell died peacefully at Mansfield Methodist Hospital on Dec. 11, 2017, his wife by his side. He was born on Sept. 11, 1930 to Roy and Katherine (Kenny) Angell in East Haven, CT. Jim married Nancy Bartalomy on April 11, 1953 in Milford, CT at Mary Taylor Methodist Church. They were happily married for 64 wonderful years. They made their home in a lot of different places, but wherever they happened to be, their home was full of children, laughter, and love. Jim is survived by his wife Nancy, of the home, two sons, Jim and wife Bobbie of Hays, KS, Mike and wife Meghan of Arlington, TX, and Denise and significant other Ward of Ellis, KS. He also leaves ten grandchildren (Dennis, Josh, Travis, Trevor, Crystal, Taylor, Lauren, Riki, Mitchel, and Madison) and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves a sister, Phyllis Hatfield and husband Tom of Jewitt City, CT, and seven nieces and nephews. He worked for many years as a director of data processing at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, CA until his retirement in 1992. He was a veteran and served in the Navy during the Korean War. Jim will be missed by all his family and friends. He was such an amazing and integral part of a large and loving family.
