Jane Kahlich
Jane Kahlich was born to Jessie Faye (Dunlap) and Ralph Henry Kahlich on December 11, 1946 at Mercy Hospital in Slaton, Texas. Jane’s parents both served in World War II and passed down their hard work ethic and strong Christian faith to both Jane and her sister, Cindy. On August 25, 1966, Jane was married to David Allen Archer in Denton, Texas. Their children are Anthony Shayne (1969), Bridgett Danelle (1970 stillborn), and Tricia Jan (1972). In 1980, Jane and David divorced, but Jane carried on as a courageous single mother, raising her two children to work hard and fear God. She also showed them how to fight through hard times and to have fun living life. After another short marriage and divorce, Jane was single for the rest of her life, focusing her attention on her children and grandchildren. She remained in and around Dallas & Fort Worth working as a receptionist at several businesses in the area until her retirement in January 2014 when she went to live with her son, Shayne. Jane was incredibly proud of her children and loved watching the rapid growth of her eight grandchildren (Ray, John, Julianna, D.J., Chelsey, Brent, Jesse, and Angel) and her four great grandchildren (Hannah, Logan, Hailey, and Paisley), who all call her Nanny. While the family is devastated at her sudden loss, we are all proud of the way she lived her life and we are prepared to strengthen her legacy in the future. WE LOVE YOU MOM!

  1. I knew your mom when she was a young teenager……and your Aunt Cindy. I have often thought of them over the years. I love your mom. I always have. I send thoughts of God’s love to surround you all. I wish you peace.
