Jacqueline Diane Shields
Jacqueline Diane Shields (Mom, Mee-maw, Grammy, Grandma, Diane, Dinah), 88, passed away on September 9, 2022, in Rowlett Texas surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Los Angeles California to Virginia N. Haugh and John Logan (Jack) Johnson on July 15, 1934. Diane married Jack Marti at age 21 and had Jack and Sandra. She then married Robert Dennis Shields some years later and had Gay, Guy, Robin, Jody, and Jessica. Diane held several different jobs throughout her working career which included Sanger Harris, Social worker, American Heart Association, and bakery manager of Safeway and United States Postal Service. She retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier in Rowlett Texas. After retirement she worked at the Disney Cruise line port in Cape Canaveral Florida and Kroger in Tennessee. Diane loved the ocean, fishing, reading books, good food and music. Diane was preceded in death by her parents Virginia N. Haugh and John Logan (Jack) Johnson and her brother Ralph (Buster) and her sister Jeanette. Diane will truly be missed. She has lived a long and very blessed life with 7 beautiful children along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Diane is survived by her children, Jack Marti and wife Laurie, Sandra Noll and husband Fredrick (Rick), Gay Marrs and husband Joe, Guy Shields, Robin Beal and husband Shawn, Jody Miller, Jessica Helms and husband Ronnie. Diane is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Michael Marti and his wife Elizabeth, and their son Lincoln. Jessica Marti, Fredrick (Rick) Noll and his children Paiten and Kaleb, Daniel Noll and wife Christina and children Benicio and Elora, Trevor McGilvery and wife Marissa and his son Mason, Seth Beal and wife Nancy, Tiffany Riherd and her children Sean Campos and Gavin Riherd, Shane Beal and wife Paola and their children Nicole and Santiago, Rebecca Beal, Travis Martin, Justin Helms, Christian Shields, Brooke Miller, Marissa Marrs and fiancé Conner Hamrick, Matt Marrs and wife Haden. Diane wished to be cremated and requested no celebration of life or services. However, her life will be celebrated on many occasions in different places by all who loved her. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to your favorite charity.

  2. I’m so sorry to hear of Diane’s passing. She was a very special person to me growing up…like another mother! She was kind and hard working. She raised some amazing kids, one of them being one of my best friend forever (Love you Gay)! I will miss her. Shields gang… hugs!! I love y’all!🙏🏻❤️

  4. Although I never got to know Diane well, it is obvious she was amazing person. Seven amazing children , many careers, she was remarkable and I know the memories she left will always hold her family dear and close. Sending deepest sympathy to her family. Love Always
