BURLESON — Jack Keith Dillahunty, 83, passed away on Wednesday August 28, 2013. Memorial Service: 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to Community Hospice of North Texas. He was born on September 13, 1929, in Greenwood, Arkansas.  Jack grew up outside of Greenwood and attended school there.  He married Doris Graham on December 24, 1953, and they established their home in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Jack was a long time employee of Arkansas Best Freight, where he delivered freight locally.  Jack and Doris had two daughters, Jan and Kaay.  Jack and Doris were avid square dancers during their early years together.  Later, the family enjoyed attending Razorback football games and motorcycling.  The family spent many weekends during the summer at Lake Ouachita where they enjoyed camping and water skiing.  After his retirement in 1981, Jack kept busy mowing with his tractor and transferring new vehicles from dealership to dealership for Reeder Simco GMC.   He and Doris also enjoyed traveling all over the United States.  In 2007, Jack and Doris moved to Texas, to be closer to their family.  Jack is survived by his wife, Doris of Burleson, Texas; his daughters, Jan White and her husband Joe of Grandview, Texas, Kaay Shackelford and her husband David of Orlando, Florida; his granddaughters Charlotte Franks and her husband Joshua of Burleson, Texas, Rebekah White of Robinson, Texas, Abby Shackelford of Burleson, Texas and Claire Shackelford of Tallahassee, Florida.
