Funeral services for J.D. “Red” McNatt, 83, of Fort Worth will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 2, 2004 at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel, of Cleburne, with Brother Randy Burch officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne. J.D. “Red” McNatt, a retired construction supervisor, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2004 at his residence in Fort Worth. He was born in Hill County, Texas, October 28, 1921, the son of John C. and Willie R.Taylor McNatt. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II, was a Charter member of the Cowtown Posse, longtime member of the local Carpenters Union and enjoyed cattle ranching, rodeos and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Willie McNatt, sister, Jewell M. Chance and dear friend, Vivian Moore. J.D was a great person to anyone who knew him.It was always having fun what ever he did or where ever he was,it won’t be the same at our family christmas party.He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.We love him may he rest forever with God.
The McNatt family was long time friends of my mom’s family, Retta Anderson Hutson, Virgel Hutson, Mozelle Sims, and Zella Mills Duhr.
J.D. has been the backbone of the McNatt family.
