He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jean Keffer, his 3 sons and their wives, Robert and Kimberly Putnam, Harry Keffer III and Nathan and Christina Keffer, his grandchildren, Micah and Lenora Putnam, his 3 siblings and their wives, Marjorie Brown, Gerry and Maria Keffer and Michael and Janet Keffer, and many wonderful nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Wes spent 7 years in the Army before moving to Dallas, TX to attend DeVry Institute of Technology. He began studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses in the summer of 1974 and was baptized in March 1976. He loved learning and teaching about Jehovah and the Bible. He was privileged over the years to participate in many aspects of service in Jehovah’s Organization. But his favorite thing was conducting personal Bible Studies. A Memorial Service was held at the Kingdom Hall at 6008 Forney Rd, Dallas, TX on Friday, November 17th at 7:00pm.

  1. Jean, Wes and Nathan,

Annie I were really saddened to hear about Wes. Mom just mailed us a copy of his memorial. It just doesn’t seem like those pictures of Wes’ baptism and the boys being born can be that long ago! We’re very sorry that we couldn’t be there to ‘mourn with those who mourn’ but we do some from some distance. Please accept our warmest Christian Greetings and sympathy, knowing that a really huge event has just taken place in all your lives. May Jehovah continue to the source of strength for you that he is for Wes.

    Most Sincerely,
    Keith and Annie CADY
