Harry George Natchke
 BURLESON — Harry G. Natchke passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, in Burleson.        Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Fort Worth, with Pastor Bud Beverly officiating.        Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Harry’s memory to the American Red Cross.        Harry was born Feb. 4, 1921, in Bloomfield, Neb., where he lived until he was 13. His family then moved to Gettysburg, S.D., living on a farm. He went on to serve in the Army during World War II. Harry enjoyed fishing, traveling and custom stair-building, among many other interests.        Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Emma Rabe Natchke, and sisters, Eileen, Mary, Nohra and Arlys. He was also preceded by his big brother, Ed; two wives, Helen Smith Natchke and Juanita Jean Natchke.        Survivors: Son, Bruce L. Natchke (Julie); stepson, Charles A. Wright; grandchildren. Nathan W. Natchke (Jennifer), Karina L. Natchke and Ellen J. Natchke; great-grandchild, Marisa Kate Natchke; brother, Robert Natchke (Marleen); and many nieces, nephews and friends.

  1. Sorry to hear of Harry’s passing. I remember in the mid sixties Harry, Bruce Lee,and my dad Martin and myself went on several all night fishing trips on Lake Oahe, with a big camp fire, catching catfish, walleyes and lots of stories. Harry was a very good

  2. I will always remember Uncle Harry for his many stories he told along with his brothers Ed and Bob.He was such a joy to have around on his many trips to our river home at Gettysburg.

    It was so thoughtful of him to obtain a headstone for his parents.Because he lived away, we unfortunately didn’t get to hear all of his stories. May God bless him.
