Gloria Jean Wilder Vance
Gloria Jean Wilder Vance, born September 27, 1937 in Alice, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2022 in Granbury, Texas at the age of 85. Gloria is survived by her children, Debra Suttner and her children, Altamira Hancock and Erika Hancock; David Suttner (Mindy Reynolds Suttner), and their children; Lia Suttner Collings (Justin Collings), Caci Suttner Chapman (Jason Chapman), Jennifer Suttner Egan (Drew Egan), Kinsey Suttner Bollinger (Matthew Bollinger), David Suttner (Taylor Allen Sutter) Charity Suttner Doty (Dustin Doty), Gabriel Suttner (Angela McMullen Suttner), James Suttner; Dana Vance Sear and her children, Sarah Vance Walker (Paul Walker) and Daniel Vance. She had 34 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Wilder and Lois Bullock Wilder, and her husband, Douglas Reid Vance. Gloria was an artist at heart. She was an accomplished seamstress, painter, Interior designer, and all things crafty. She took great pleasure in many things, such as travel, music, and fine art. Gloria loved the beach, fine food and her grandchildren. There were no limits to her creativity and she could see beauty and potential in the most unpredictable objects and places. She was also an enthusiastic genealogist and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A private service was held by family members where Gloria was laid to rest with her husband of fortyeight years, Douglas Vance and her parents in a family plot at Paynetown Cemetery, Quinlan, Texas. Donations in Gloria’s name to Disabled American Veterans or The Humane Society would be greatly appreciated. Cremation arrangements by Lone Star Cremation.
