  5. You have my deepest sympathy. Each time I remember Gary it is with his enjoyment of one of our radio activities together, teaching a Technician class, administering a test, assisting the Ben Barber solar car team, participating in Field Day or some other club activity. His memory will live on as these activities go forward.

  7. Gary you will be missed. I didn’t know him long however he was a huge help during my training for technician lic along with the solar teams. He took the time to answer all my questions I had after class and gave me a great test CD to study by. He even gave me his contact info just in case I had any questions of which I took advantage of a few times. A few months later I ran into Gary at a ham fest. I didn’t know much about radios so he help me make sure I got a great antenna for my radio. I will say he told me I should have gone with the yaesu instead of the kenwood but if I had to go with a kenwood the one I got would do just fine.
I also wanted to share that during field day Gary went out of his way to come talk to my wife and two girls (6 &4). He gave them one of his tokens and chatted with them a little while. This really meant a lot to me that he made the effort to meet my family and to was so nice to my girls.
