  1. I was so fortunate to get to meet Dr Troutman at the Jack & Marian Purdy 50th Wedding anniversery 3 years ago.
I had previously learned that Edwin is related to my family via my Great Great Grandmother Dovie Lou Troutman. I grew up in Troutman North Carolina. Dr Troutman told me that he enjoyed the study of geneology and often attended his Troutman Family Reunion in North Carolina. Dr Troutman was a wonderful person and a dedicated professional whose contributions impacted many lives.
He will be truly missed but fondly remembered.

  2. I was fortunate to find Dr. Troutman about a year ago. I felt so glad to find such a great doctor. I will surely miss him and would like to convey my deepest sympathy to his family.

  3. Doctor Ed became my Primary Care Physician in the early 1990s. He was an oustanding Doctor with an uncanny ability to correctly diagnose sicknesses his patients were suffering from. As the years went by, we became friends. I began to view him as a father figure that greatly enriched my life. My own father (a wonderful man) passed away in the mid 2000s. With Doctor Ed around, I felt like I still had something of a father. Now he is gone, and I hurt terribly inside from the loss. But through my faith, I truely believe, some day I will get to shake his hand again. I love you Doctor Ed!

  4. Doctor Troutman was a great guy, and will be truly missed. God bless him and be with his family and friends.

  5. I was shocked to hear of Dr. Ed’s death. I had the priviledge to call him my Doctor for over thirty years. Not only was he my Doctor, he was my friend. We had many conversations on a myriad of subjects. He was a man of honesty and integrity. Everytime I needed him, he made time for me. He will be greatly missed. He was one of the best! My deepest heartfelt sympathy to his family.

  6. I was saddened to hear that Dr. Troutman had passed away; he was not only my doctor but a business partner. We, along with a software developer, were a group of three that developed a market for Ed’s medical healthcare questionnaire. Dr. Troutman was way ahead of his time; he was a very forward thinker and I was honored to be associated with him and Dr. Mary. I was a young man in my early20’s when we met. He was a person of the highest integrity and I truly admire him, not to mention he was a great doctor.

All my condolences to his two sons and their families. They had a great dad and an extraordinary mother.
