Dorothy Garrett
Dorothy Garrett of Dennis,Texas went home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday May 6,2017. Service: 10:30 am Thursday, May 11,2017 at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Visitation: 9:00 am- 10:15 Thursday, May 11,2017 with service to follow. She was born Dorothy Jean Rogers on August 18,1937 in Dalhart,Texas to Dick and Marie Rogers with one younger brother, John Rogers following 5 years later. She met and later married Loyd Wilson Garrett on September 15, 1970.They had one daughter together Jennifer Garrett of Dennis, Texas. A long time Christian, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Dennis. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband and brother. She is survived by daughter Jennifer Garrett of Dennis, Texas, step son, Donald (Donna) Garrett of Everman,Texas, 2 grandchilren, 5 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces, nephews, many wonderful and loving friends.
