David Lee Spitzer
David Lee Spitzer of Carrollton, TX passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the age of 67. David was born to parents Milton and Anna Spitzer on February 21, 1952 in Chicago, IL. He is reunited in heaven with his parents. David had an eventful life. He joined the Airforce in 1970. Had his first child, a daughter named Karyn in 1977. His son, David Jr. in 1983 and graduated East Carolina University in 1984. Soon after Dave (his nickname after his son was born) moved from North Carolina to settle down on Brighton Dr. in Carrollton, TX. He began his career at Ketterman’s Computer Associates, moving on to become a F.E.M.A inspector before retiring at the Internal Revenue Service. He is survived by both of his children along with their families, giving him 3 grandchildren. His grandchildren are as followed – Amethyst, David III, and Nora. Dave loved to watch his Dallas Cowboys play, try his luck in Las Vegas, and eat Mexican food. While working at the IRS, he fell in love with Christine Barnes. They shared a life together until her passing in April 2016. Dave always said he wanted to be set free with Christine in the Florida Keys. David Jr with his wife, Chloe will honor Dave’s wishes with a private boat ceremony at Sombrero Key on August 2nd . Dave will be missed by those who called him friend, father, and PaPa.

  3. Very sorry to hear of Dave passing. We worked together at Burroughs 1974-78. Got to thinking of him and decided to try and call. Sad to hear I was too late. My condolences to all his family.
