Daniel Benedetti
Daniel Gerard “Danny” Benedetti passed away Friday morning, Sept. 15, 2017 at JPS hospital. He was surrounded by family who loved him. Dan was born in Brockton, Massachusetts on October 31, 1968. He was preceded in death by his parents Steve and Barbara Benedetti. Dan was a friend to everyone he met and could always be counted on to help when someone was in need. He always put others first. He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots but would also cheer for our home teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. Dan leaves behind his wife, Lauren Elizabeth Benedetti, whom he shared the last 25 years of his life with. Two (step) sons, Darren R. Gary and Dalen M. Gary, who he was always proud to call “his boys”. Sister, Janet Benedetti Marberry, her husband, James Marberry, nephew Jacob and niece Abby Kate. Sister, Erica Benedetti Bussey, her husband, Jason Bussey, nephews Jack, Mason, and Graham and niece Allison. Sister-in-law Julie Atcheson, her husband Scotty Atcheson, and niece Makayla. Dan also had many extended family members: In-laws, Aunts, Uncles and cousins, as well as too many friends to count. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him, but we are comforted to know that through his strong faith in God, he is in eternal peace with his Lord and Savior.

  5. I remember Danny was just a really great guy. Our family met the Benedetti family in the late 1970’s and we grew up with them through the 80’s and 90’s. You couldn’t have a better set of neighbors, not to mention friends. I have many fond memories and Danny will certainly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you Lauren, Janet, and Erica as well as your families during these times. God Bless.
