Conde Paul Ortega
Conde Paul Ortega, 84, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016. Visitation:  6:00-8:00pm Thursday, December 29, 2016 Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Service:  2:00pm Friday, December 30, 2016 graveside DFW National Cemetery.  Motorcade leaving funeral home to cemetery promptly at 1:00pm.  Conde was born March 17, 1932 to Albert and Dolores Ortega.  He served our country honorably for 8 years in the U. S. Army. He retired after 28 years with Tarrant County as a Deputy Sheriff.  He was a 9 year cancer survivor.   Preceded in death by his son, Mark Timothy Ortega; brothers, Manuel, Frank, Joe, and Paul Torres.  Survivors include wife of 36 years, Felisitas (Faye); sons, David and James Ortega; sister, Ruth Perez and husband, Jesse; brother, Albert Ortega, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri; stepdaughters, Stefanie Hicks, DeeDee Corpus and husband, Mel; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

  1. So sorry to learn of Paul’s passing. He and I worked together for several years at TCSO. He was a great partner in the fugitive division. I knew Paul for several years before joining the TCSO. We shared lots of stories and laughs and I tried to learn the Cha Cha from him but never could. Together we apprehended many fugitives together and I will always treasure our friendship.
