  8. Cleo lives on in the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of knowing her. To me she was a true example of faith . She searched the scriptures and studied them and pondered them. She arrived at church every Sunday prepared to participate in discussions or offer her testimony. She was a friend to those around her and I never heard her complain. I often think of her and more so when when I am pondering Isaiah or the conference talks she left her mark on me for the better and I am so grateful to have known her.

  11. Oh, I was so sad when I heard the news about the passing of Cleo. She will truly be missed. She was so excited about being closer to her daughter, Kim, and her grandchildren. She and Kim had such big plans and she was so happy. I didn’t think she would ever leave us here in Fairview, but after Jim passed, she wanted to be closer to family. She was such a fun, warm, spiritual, worthwhile person. She loved the Lord. She was always trying to help other people. She would bear her testimony in church quite often and she would always say “I love you”. She talked to the children too. My daughter and I went to see her before she moved and she told us all about her life and how she met Jim. I hope that it is written down somewhere. It was so fun for her to reminisce about it all. Kim and family, we do pray for you and may the Lord watch over and protect you as you grieve for your Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. It is wonderful to know that she is with her sweetheart Jim now. There is still a lot for them to do. They will be watching over you. It is a time of rejoiceing.

  18. In almost all of these comments we are reading the word LOVE. Cleo, Sister Moses as we called she sat in the front row at church and upon meeting her for the first time we immediately felt loved by her. I was always amazed by her energy and great example of being Christlike. She shared her testimony of the gospel and her feelings of love and appreciation for people around her regularly. She particularly loved our 4 girls and always expressed love toward them and had such sweet things to say about them. When we visited her home after her husband’s passing, we enjoyed listening to shared stories and she showed off her collection of ceramic birds. Her sense of humor and sweet spirit will never be forgotten. Our family was truly blessed to have known her.

  19. I knew Cleoh for just three months. But oh how I loved her! From the moment we met we were dear friends. She brightened my life, and filled me with her love. She was a gift to me, and I will cherish our time together. I’m thankful for the times we shared. And miss all the plans we had for future adventures.
She never missed an opportunity to tell me how blessed and thankful she was for Kim, and her family. And how much she loved our Savior, Jesus Christ.
You will be greatly missed by everyone who knew you!

  20. Cleoh had a special light that surrounded her. She was kind, quick witted, and was the ultimate example of being a disciple of Jesus Christ. I thought of her often after our Ward split…she left a lasting impression on me. She will be missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family!

  21. Cleoh was a great lady and my life is better because I had the honor of being one of her many friends. So full of love, kindness, happiness and humor. I loved Cleoh and I always knew that Cleoh loved me.

  22. Whenever Cleo saw me coming, she’d open her arms wide ready to give me a hug. I picture in my my mind the same scene as she passed through the veil, the Lord she loved so much , His arms outstretched ready to give her a hug.
She touched us all with her sweet testimony, her humor and her love for everyone. I will never forget this great elect lady. I miss her and my heart hurts. Thank you Cleo for your great example and all the love you shared.

  23. So very sad and sorry for the loss of Cleoh . We have known each other for 70 years and even though we didn’t live close we did gather many good memories that I will remember for the rest of my years.

  24. Cleoh was such a wonderful woman ! I am glad that I met her 7 years ago when my family moved back to Texas. She always had a smile, and would ask how my family was doing. I will miss running into her at Kroger, and seeing her at church. We love you Cleoh and miss you, but we will have our memories to carry us through until we meet again.

  25. We enjoyed talking to Cleoh on sundays she made us laugh and in class her comments always added to our learning. Most of all we remember the testimony she bore to us of the Savior and His Gospel. May the hope we have in Christ fill your hearts with peace and love.

  26. Every time I think about, or see, Cleoh, the primary song “Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam” comes to mind.
Every time I saw her, she was smiling and wanting a hug. You will always feel the love she had for you, expressly in remembering how she severed you at home, at school, and at play.
She has always been a sunbeam to our family and a wonderful reminder of complete and total childlike love for Christ, and, especially, the love she showered upon her family and friends.
Her special way of shining each day will truly be missed.
    Love,
    Mark and Rhonda Smith

  27. We enjoyed talking to Cleoh on Sundays she made us laugh and in class her comments always added to our learning. Most of all we remember the testimony she bore to us of the Savior and His Gospel. May the hope we have in Christ fill your hearts with peace and love.

  28. Cleoh was a sweet lady and good friend. I was her Visiting Teacher & always enjoyed our visits. She will be missed very much & remembered fondly.

  29. Cleoh was one in a million. I always told her I wanted to be her when I grew up. She was so kind and encouraging, faithful and true to her beliefs, fun and funny, and very independent. She was a dear friend. Cleoh was so proud of her family, her “beautiful daughter, Kim”, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spoke of them with much love and always looked forward to spending time with them. We were all sad when she moved south but understood her desire to be closer to her family. She studied and read the scriptures daily and we had many great conversations about the gospel. We loved attending the temple together. Cleoh was assigned to be my visiting teacher years ago, and faithfully visited each month. How I looked forward to and loved those visits! As a service to us, she would come and sit inside our house, to “guard” it, during many annual ward fall carnivals. Although the carnivals were outside, our house was open and there were hundreds of people here, including friends of ward members, many whom we did not know. We appreciated her kindness in this way. Cleoh was an example and a light to all who knew her. We will miss her terribly and our prayers will continue to be with her family during this time. We love you, Cleoh!

  30. Every time I saw Cleoh I felt happy- she had that effect on me. I loved hearing her talk about the gospel. She motivated me to be a better person. We missed having Cleoh in our ward when she moved. I loved how she complimented the youth in our ward and was so kind to them. Cleoh is just pure love.

  31. I know this is very late, but I was thinking about Cleoh today and how much I miss seeing her around. I thought I would share one of my favorite memories of her. I was sitting in a class at church and the teacher was asking about what a certain well known person was known for. The answer the teacher wanted was that he was a pilot. But no one answered and after a long pause Cleoh spoke up and said, “He’s HOT!” Everyone just laughed and laughed. She could always bring a smile to your face. I miss that woman.
