Chester (Butch) Lewis Smith
Burleson– Chester Lewis Smith, 71, passed away July 22 at his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 13, 1941 to Chester and Mildred Smith in Little Rock, Arkansas, and moved to Texas in 1952. He worked at Stafford Metal Company for over 34 years as an installer, job estimator and foreman. He also was a volunteer fireman for Burleson Fire Department for 19 years. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and being with his family.

Wife and best friend Linda Smith; parents Chester and Mildred Smith; daughter Dorinda McCoy and husband, Tony; stepdaughter Jackie Skidmore; grandchildren, Clint Parks, who he raised as his own, Amy Kimbrell and husband Quinn, Christopher McCoy, Mack Skidmore, and Christina Smith; brother Don Smith and wife Sherry; great-grandchildren Madison, Maddix and McKenzie Kimbrell. His extended family includes Annette and Quincy Armstrong, Jeannie and Mickey Wilson, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Chad Smith.
