Charles Etheredge Lynch
Charles Etheredge Lynch, Lancaster, TX Charles Etheredge Lynch (80), a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather went peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2018. He was in the compassionate care of Community Hospice in Burleson, Texas. He was surrounded by his daughters Donna and Kay and son Craig. He was born to James E. and Martha Lynch on February 11, 1937, at their home in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in Dallas surrounded by many relatives who lived close by. He attended Oak Lawn Kindergarten and Primary school, Maple Lawn School, and completed his public education as a graduate from Crozier Tech High School class of 1955. During his childhood, he had a paper route and held a part-time job at a local grocery store. While working as a paper boy, he was awarded a trip to San Antonio for being one of the top subscription collectors in the Dallas area. Having no suitcase, his mother helped him secure his belongings in a cardboard box wrapped with a rope. His family used the resources they had. After high school, he began his career in the insurance business and continued until his retirement. It was at his first insurance agency that he met Shirley Ann Post, who would later become Mrs. Charles Lynch and the mother of his 4 children. He enlisted and served in the Army National Guard for 3 years. It was there that he met John Bradley who would be his life-long friend. Charles enjoyed square dancing, bowling, playing cards and board games. It was customary for him to drive the long way to his destination enjoying the country side and traveling back roads. He spent many years tending to his small herd of cattle with his good friend and neighbor from Houston, James Heil. I would like to thank Methodist Mansfield Medical Center and Community Hospice of Texas-Huguley for the care they gave our dad in his final weeks. We are forever grateful for the compassion they showed not only to him but also to us. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha Lynch, and his brothers Jimmy Edward Lynch and James Leroy Lynch. He is survived by his four children and their families: Donna (Tony) Biasatti, Kay (Kenneth) Cox, Vickie Lynch, and Craig (Phil) Lynch. Grandchildren: Stephn, Joey (Courtney) and Matthew (Elena) Biasatti, Kristina and Kandice Cox and Kyle Lynch (Stephanie Powers). Great grandchildren: Isabella, Adriana and Blake Biasatti, Dylan, Ryan and Brianna Biasatti and Alexis Lynch. He is also survived by his aunt Mary Brookshire, Dolly Kent and many nieces, nephews and life-long friends. Upon his wishes, the family will hold a private grave-side ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
