Cedric “Carl” Carrington
Irving–Cedric “Carl” Carrington (formerly of St. Joseph, Barbados, Toronto, ON, and Brooklyn, NY) passed away on October 17, 2020 at the age of 74. Carl received his formal education at St. Elizabeth Primary School and Arlington H.S. both in Barbados, W.I. Carl had a strong work ethic and worked many years at IBM in Dallas in which he formed life long friendships. Carl was also an avid sports fan. A special thanks to: Darrian, Jim and Calvin. Cedric was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Gertrude Belgrave Carrington (Barbados); his wife Sylvia (Brooklyn, NY), and his brother David (England). He is survived by his daughter, Clarissa Carrington (Brooklyn, NY); his grandson, Xavier; sister Jeanette (Joseph) Barrow (Barbados); brother Keith (Juliet) Belgrave (Barbados); and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In lieu of funeral services, we ask that all who wish to participate make a donation to American Diabetes Assoc. or any charity you wish in his name.   1. Clarissa, although it’s been years since we’ve been in touch, always remember that you have family here in Barbados who still care about you, especially in your time of sorrow. My deepest and sincerest condolences to you.

Carl was a good friend of mine for well over 30 years. I know he will be missed by his fellow co-workers at Dean Witter, Advantis and IBM. Carl was a man of deep faith. May he rest in peace with our Heavenly Father and all his family and friends that preceded him. May God comfort you and your family in your time of grief.

  4. I met and worked with Carl in 1997 at IBM and he was one of the people that trained me there. I was very sad to hear of his passing. I always appreciated his help and enjoyed his company when years later we would meet up with past co-workers. RIP Carl you are missed and thank you for your help and friendship.

  5. I met Carl and James Damaskinos in 1986 at Dean Witter and we started a great friendship which was still very close today! I very saddened to hear of Carl’s passing and his family has my deepest heart felt condolences at this sad time. God Bless you all and Carl Rest In Peace my dear friend!

  6. My Condolences to the family of Carl. We worked together in Dallas for Dean Witter and IBM and also shared a few parties and baseball games throughout the years. Carl was a good man and friend, may he Rest In Peace. 🙏😇
